I’m Ng Hui Min. 20-year-old chick, currently studying Accountancy in Nanyang Technological University. I’m tall and very, very skinny.
I’m a dreamer, and an idealist. I stone quite a lot.
I love reading. Give me a good book, and I won’t put it down till I’ve finished it. My favourites are fantasy, quirky books, chick-lit, sensuous stories, and detective thrillers. Books on interior designing, crafts, dinosaurs and philosophy are also fascinating. Some fabulous authors include Philip Pullman, Patricia C. Wrede, Catherine Lim, and Robin Jarvis. I don’t particularly buy magazines because I always feel they’re not quite worth the money, but there you go – I secretly looove reading them.
I love music! I play the piano. I listen to loads – mostly rock, jazz and pop. I dig hardcore music from Audioslave, Nirvana, Incubus and Linkin Park, but I also love lighter stuff from Diana Krall, Corrinne May, Mika Nakashima and Lisa Ono.
I like shopping just as much as any other girl. Especially the thrill of finding a good bargain and a lovely-fitting skirt. (:
I like to run! And swim, even though I’m sooo bad at it. My aim this year is to run the half-marathon. The feeling of adrenaline just rocks. I like hiking, cycling, badminton, and the occasional game of Captain’s Ball too. I’ve learnt kayaking, but I am just lousy.
I’ve just been introduced to trekking when I entered university. And I love it! I love camping and getting filthy and most of all the gorgeous views. I haven’t been to many places yet, only a couple of waterfalls in Malaysia. But I’d love to backpack and travel to other places someday. I hear Laos is fabulous for outdoor activities.
One of my passions is art! I love webdesign, drawing, artsy stuff. I appreciate artwork. My lecture notes in junior college were FULL OF doodles. I love photography too, and writing. I enjoy watching plays, especially those that deal with human conflict. I was once in English drama.
I’m a television junkie. I watch virtually everything. I like documentaries on National Geographic and Discovery. I love shows like Laguna Beach, The OC, Desperate Housewives, Project Runway, and CSI. I watch plenty of movies too – and I’m ashamed to admit, I know too much of celebrity gossip and tabloid crap.
And on my masculine side, I’m a complete computer geek. I am addicted to Warcraft. I drool over The Sims, Theme Hospital, and Pharaoh. I love the Playstation too – but I haven’t been playing for ages.
